gettyimages迎接新年的到來，英國不只有遊行隊伍可看，在蘇格蘭地區，更有超過1,000位的民眾參加年度「瘋子游泳」(the Loony Dook Swim)活動！參加者全都換上奇裝異服，在僅僅攝氏1度C的低溫中跳進海裡，來迎接新年。
另一邊，美國紐約州有個俱樂部更厲害，「康尼島北極熊俱樂部」(Coney Island Polar Bear Club)在清晨零度以下的低溫中，百位居民也全衝進大西洋裡，要為他們的2013年第一天留下最難忘的紀念。
